;D hey! Dc++ (Direct Connect) is some P2P-like (Kazaa) program but a little different: - no rubbish inside the program (fair program not Kazaa-shit) + also free to download + free to use
- general idea is: sharing! Only fair sharing / no leeching / no netlimiting
- look on your harddisk and make a selection of what you would like to share; everyone can access this freely so watch out; the bigger your share, the better hubs you can enter (with users that also have bigger shares, etc.) I would recommend a share of about at least 60 GB to start with...
- connect to different hubs where bots & Op's litterally kick out the trash 4 you, people work many hours 4 free to enable you to make use of quality-databases
- you can create your own databases by connecting to different hubs at the same time
- thousands of pc's make one giant database of 100's of TB's (with 4 hubs open, you'd probably find at least 5 users online that share a game like RTCW)
- I wouldnt recommend to play any game at same time: it sucks up capacity + forces dowloading/uploading to max (so connection will get like ping 600) so run it at night Keep the Dc-spirit Alive & Remember: You are not the first who had to format his harddisk after using Kazaa...
