Just wondering what your views are on Linux, Ubuntu etc... im sick of windows giving me viruses spyware etc etc no matter how careful i am i still get them (i accept with windows you get this) but i was also pondering on the idea of switching to Linux mainly because it is free so upgradeing is easy and cost free, looks smart but on looking into Linux there are so many options i have no idea which way to go, has anyone got any thorts on Linux or maybe suggest a version, i have looked into Linux Lite apparently it is good for newbies but im confused which is better your thorts and suggestions are welcomed

I already replied you on aod forum about linux so wont repeat it here but as far as for windows goes, if you're having problems with malware you can solve reinstall procedure.
Format and installation of everything all over sucks so get ghost (symantec) and create a bootable cd or i can send you an image of it so you simply burn it. Idea is, that you create a clean install (format) of os, install drivers, updates and all software you need (office etc etc)- basically all bare essentials and then simply create copy of that partrition. So when all goes to hell you simply restore the image and end up with same system you had when you created backup. Naturally in that case, you have to make sure your system is clean before making image, otherwise you'll end up with same crap after restoring image.
May sound complicated but it really isn't and it's well worth it to spend a day or two figuring and setting stuff as in a long run it saves tons of time - instead of few hours of reinstalling, updating etc..you do it in 10-15 minutes and are ready to go instantly.
