Hello guys, Since i replay wolf, i have a problem. I dont know why wolf use too much my CPU. I can play easy last game with my AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2Ghz and he dont become hot or loud. But when i play wolf, the fan is 3200 RPM and my CPU is 60°C ! The problem is not from my CPU because i have none problem with others game. I have reinstall wolf for got none files in my main and with graphics very low, the problem is ever here. I cant continue to play wolf with a cpu 60°C when the limit say by constructor is 62°C ! Well, my question is: Someone have any idea why Wolf use ressource of my CPU like it? Thanks.

Check "affinity" in task manager -> resources to see how much cores you have asigned to a game.
Also try with completely default confing to see if it helps. As playing with old cfg on a new computer can cause various troubles..especially in shader region etc..

All is okay in affinity, 4 cores used. I have try to change priority and change normal for high. If i play with resolution 800*600 and graphic in pixels like boom and a fan who run max. Yeah CPU dont go more to 55°C Now i think to bad cooling, i ve always been piss with temperature but never like it. I can try to clean fan and change thermal paste. Or squarely buy new ventirad more performance. I could play wolf despite he use much ressource, that move the problem but i could play. It's sure, would be better to resolve problem for wolf but if i make for cool cpu, it's good too... What you think L0 honey ?

I don't know what kinda of fan you use, if it's stock one then those generally suck but there's really no reason why rtcw would be putting such a heavy load on your computer. Problem has to be somewhere else.

I will use big means, buy a super fan ! www.ldlc.com/fiche/PB00100307.htmlThey is the version with 2 fans but i think 1 fan is enough. Users of this fan say temperature CPU decreases +/-20°C !

It's not all in fan. Make sure you buy a decent thermal paste. Artic ones are very good. Artic silver 5 or mx4 etc.. mx4 will achieve optimal temperature faster and it's easier to use but 5 is known for it's durability.

Results: Before: 60°C / 3200 RPM Now: 45°C / 1000 RPM ;D
