Depends if you are looking for single player, co-op, multiplayer, or all of them.

Can't help you on multiplayer. With co-op try Left for dead 2, not the first one, its quick and easy to play.
Otherwise play Killing Floor, but it takes a lot of time and patience to level up and you will die many, many times. Worth it.
Besides that, there aren't many co-op games you can play unless you bring someone with you, maybe portal 2.
There is nothing wrong with single player games if you know where to look.

L4d2 is fine yes, versus is nice if you can get pass noobish teams and modded servers frustration. KF is nice as well, but it takes time to master it - perks are especially frustrating at times, but it's fun. I wonder how many ppl has l4d2 or kf? Would be fun to put a team scrim up

Well I personally don't play versus, but if it's just for fun then fine.

It's actually quite fine once you get in hang of it, problems are just crap modded servers or uneven teams...one can get stuck with noobs that instead of finishing the map go on discovery crusade lol....
