I have watched Band of brothers many times and I think it is one of the best series ever made. Now I have watched 5 episodes The Pacific and I think that this serie is not even close to Band of brothers.
Maybe I just need to watch Band of brothers one more time and leave The Pacific behind ;D

I think there is better character building in BoB. There are some "regular'" characters and then some new nearly every episode. Different kind of places (Bastogne, Beach etc.) are also good in BoB.
Character building is not so good in The Pacific. This "far east" point is true too.
Man of war looked interesting. Maybe I'll watch it when it comes here.
