LOL access denied ;D You need to take ownership of all files from security tab. If you know how to do it. neosmart.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1257You can search more on google. How to take ownership of files in Vista.

NEW OS WINDOWS 7 IS SAME AS VISTA!! Only little difference. I have tried beta version of it. Many programs dont work!! You need high config to run Vista for optimum use.

Win 7 will have some of nasty resource consuming components stripped out and optimizing others, it will also have better support for wi fi/usb and stuff alike but in general it's basically same as vista... and yes, stuff doesn't work since most drivers but native ones aren't even made... tho imho it will be same crap as vista.... so if some1 wants to be at vista they can go to win7- it will be same crap ^^

Late 2009 or early 2010. Windows is crap, generally. But my vista 64 bit, is less crap than previous versions.
Filecurrupt: You could try to use a ubuntu live-cd to access your files. If you can access the files within Ubuntu, you know that the disk is most likely not damaged. It could be that windows vista simply does not want to mount a NTFS partition that was not properly unmounted, but I'm not sure about this.

release that is for next year: news.cnet.com/8301-13860_3-10084486-56.htmlTho it's probably possible they will screw the date as they usually do, vista is in general as i said, a crap but it's true yeas that vista 64 works better then xp64, i have bunch of problems with various new software for 64 bit systems- ie quicktime i need for is pain in the ars to get right one that will even work As for vista, at the end of the day it still is vista

The article states that it will be released in the holiday season 2009. the holiday season is generally understood as staring at thanks giving and ending a week after new years eve. Thus, Late 2009 or early 2010 Problems with running software on a 64 bit architecture is the developers fault and not the OS. For me, it took some time learning vista. It's a new os with new ways to do things. It's painful to use a OS I'm not familiar with. I do not think vista is very different from any other OS, and they have changed some things to the better. I have general issues with windows, and not just with vista.
