What do you need to create a map? the game: RtCW + the editor: GtkRadiantyou can download the editor at hosted.filefront.com/xp3/install the editor properly: set it to RtCW by selecting gametype and gamepath (thats the same path where the executables are) the editor and the game can be installed on seperate diskdrives If it all works you should be able to open .map-files with GtkRadiant and edit them or make new files. When you are done you need to compile the .map into a .bsp so you can load it inside RtCW and check it out... Greetingz, c0MBat

Learn it yourself with the help of whatever you need...
A tutorial seems the right thing to start with, look for it on google...
Start easy... you might want to work on your idea right away, but you have to learn the basics first... I used a tutorial myself to learn how to build a first room, the rest I found out myself, or by looking at other .map-files...
Most of the tutorials you have to read a couple of times to understand them, thats nothing special. If you have a complex question you can ask me for help, but dont ask how to build a door or a button, cuz that stuff is all described in tutorials everywhere, and most part is just trying out stuff and see if or how it works...

There are few ways, u can use pakscape etc... this is how i do it: create a copy of any pk3 file, open it with winrar, create the folder called "maps" and put script and bsp in - and/or any files u created with it- textures etc... and delete all the stuff that was already in, this is my version tho u can use pakscape etc..
