Not really. It's more likely that your aim gets worse, because everything is slightly smaller. And you'll need some time to get used to it.
But you'll get a bigger field of view, that's why most people use fov>100

But to avoid this question just type the command without anything after : /cg_fov and it will show you the current and the default.
